These Terms of Use govern the use of Meeplewise.com, a privately operated, at the moment a non-commercial online board gaming platform. By registering or using the website, you accept these Terms in full.
1. Nature of the Service
Meeplewise is a private, hobby-based project, at the moment without commercial intent. The service is offered voluntarily and free of charge. In the following we will refer to owners, maintainer, developers and manager of Meeplewise as the 'owners'.
No contract is created between the user and the owners of the platform. Users have no rights or claims regarding access, features, availability, data preservation, or continuation of the service.
Eventual donations or voluntary financial support do not create any rights or obligations.
The owners of the platform may modify, restrict, or discontinue the service at any time, without notice.
No Gambling. No Prizes. No Exceptions.
Meeplewise is exclusively a board game platform for recreational play. It does not involve, facilitate, or promote gambling, betting, wagering, or any activity of chance for monetary gain or equivalent value.
No prizes, rewards, bonuses, or benefits of any monetary or material nature are awarded to users under any circumstances. The only reward on this platform is the enjoyment of playing board games together with other users.
Any use of the platform for gambling purposes, or any attempt to organize or facilitate such activities through the platform, is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate and permanent account termination.
2. Owners Rights
The Owners retains full administrative authority over the platform, including:
- Suspension, deletion, or restriction of user accounts.
- Modification or removal of features.
- Deletion of content or game data.
- No obligation to justify administrative actions.
3. Accounts, Activity Rules and Automatic Deletion
3.1 Inactive Games
Games without a move for 30 days may be ended without a winner. Completed games in which all players are inactive may be deleted regularly.
3.2 Inactive Users
Accounts may become inactive after more than 90 days, at owners discretion, if no user activity is detected.
3.3 Account Deletion
Accounts may be deleted after 12 months of inactivity. This measure may be taken to ensure the required platform performance.
4. User Conduct and Community Rules
Meeplewise aims to provide a friendly and welcoming environment, even if competitive. Users are expected to behave respectfully of the game rules and of the opponents.
- Do not join more than one or two tables at a time.
- No mass invitations or mass acceptance of invitations.
5. Technical Rules
Meeplewise does not provide a public API. Creating or using scripts, bots, or tools that access internal APIs is prohibited.
Manipulating client-side scripts, the interface, or communication with the server is not allowed.
If those behaviors are detected, owners can proceed with the deletion of the accounts without any communications.
Each user should hold one single account only, but this is not mandatory.
6. Disclaimer of Liability
Meeplewise is provided on a voluntary and private basis. The owners provide no guarantees regarding availability, performance, correctness, or uninterrupted access.
The owners are not liable for data loss, interruptions, gameplay issues, or any actions of other users.
Users explicitly accept that they use Meeplewise at their own risk and without any warranties.
8. Sanctions for Violations
In case of violations of these Terms, the owners may apply the following measures:
- Warning
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent suspension
- Account deletion
9. Changes to the Terms of Use
The owners may modify these Terms at any time. The current version is published on the website. By continuing to use the platform, you accept the updated Terms.
10. Note of the Owners
Meeplewise is a place for relaxed and enjoyable gaming. Treat other players with respect and contribute to keeping the platform a pleasant and fun space for everyone.
